| Video Discription | Mahamantra Namokar is the most significant mantra in Jainism, and one of the oldest mantras in continuous practice. It is also known as Navkar Mantra, Namaskar Mantra and Pancha Namaskāra Mantra. The origin of the mantra is unknown but it is believed to be very powerful sacred chant. This mantra can be recited from beginning or in reverse or from any line. The english translation of the mantra is as follows : Ṇamō Arihantāṇaṁ - I bow to the Arihants Ṇamō Siddhāṇaṁ - I bow to the Siddhas. Ṇamō Ayariyāṇaṁ - I bow to the Acharyas. Ṇamō Uvajjhāyāṇaṁ - I bow to the Upadhyayas. Ṇamō Lōē Savva Sāhūṇaṁ - I bow to all of the Sages of the world. Ēsōpan̄caṇamōkkārō, savvapāvappaṇāsaṇō - This five-fold salutation completely destroys all the sins. Maṅgalā ṇaṁ ca savvēsiṁ, paḍama - And, of all auspicious mantras, (it) is indeed the foremost auspicious one.
