| Video Discription | The sequel to the Shinobi series put the Game Gear at its technical limits. The graphics are excellent, the music is good and they made the levels larger and less linear. Additionally, you need to find a crystal of the same color as your ninja buddy in each level. It's just an extra time sink as they have no use in-game. There is a password system too. Yellow's weapon now isn't redundant to green's shurikens. He uses a large boomerang in Shinobi II. Also, green now does the earthquake ninjutsu while red can teleport to some marker stone you can discover near the exit. Since the game is less linear and you can re-enter levels this helps to reduce the time it takes to get to an exit when you found what you were looking for. The final level, The Enemy's Base, seems shorter than in the first game, but the rooms are much harder. While it was more a challenge for your dexterity in the first instalment, you now face deathtraps everywhere.
