| Video Discription | Stop doing ONLY DB Lateral Raises ❌ Since gravity is the resistance when using DBs, there’s no resistance at the bottom, and it increases as you bring your arms out. This is great for training the side delts in the shortened position, but not great at training them in the lengthened/stretched position. And muscles tend to grow best when they’re stretched under load, so we’re missing out on an important portion of the range of motion if we’re JUST doing lateral raises with dumbbells. With cables, we’re able to adjust where the resistance is coming from, so we can set up the cables to train the side delt in more of a lengthened position (cables set around wrist height).
